“Above and Beyond!”
Catherine was an amazing host, going above and beyond to make our stay extra special. She provided really great local recommendations and even made a dinner reservation for us! The Black Box Container home is a beautiful, minimalist space. The views through the garage door windows provides a beautiful backdrop of Kamloops. It is the perfect place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We really appreciated the special attention to detail, from the fresh flowers, to curated collection of magazines and records which we really enjoyed. The suite was also incredibly clean. We also had the pleasure of meeting both of Catherine's dogs who were friendly and sweet. I cannot recommend the Black Box Container home enough and would definitely love to come back again in the summer!

“Exactly what we were looking for.”
My boyfriend and I were looking for a relaxing weekend away after a busy summer at work. Catherine's place was exactly what we were looking for! It was clean, stylish and had everything we needed. It was far and close enough to Kamloops city centre. The black box container sat on the hill side within walking distance to the Thompson River and biking distance to 2 wineries. When we arrived there were flowers and chocolates on the bed and music playing. We left the playlist playing all weekend (even while we slept), it was perfect background music. Thank you for a much needed escape.

“BIG, BRIGHT, STYLISH AND CLEAN.”
Space is big, bright, stylish and clean. Our favourite features were the record player and the garage door opening your room up into an even more experiential river view with the summer breeze, pink sunset and sense of nature + city getaway, while still close to all the fun of Kamloops. Catherine is a wonderful host, warm and genuine.

“Absolutely stunning!”
The black box container home is an absolutely stunning place to stay nestled amongst the gorgeous backdrop of Kamloops. The area is so unique and everyone we met was so kind and welcoming. Catherine and Trevor were absolutely wonderful, they made us feel right at home and talking with them was like chatting with old friends, we were immediately at ease. We just wish we had spent more time in this amazing space and getting to know Catherine and Trevor! We would highly recommend staying in the black box, it’s beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the views in the evening and early morning. An added bonus was getting to meet and play with their two sweet dogs - Frau and Judge. They were the perfect remedy for our homesickness for our own pups.

“Black Box was beyond wonderful!”
The black box was beyond wonderful to stay for the weekend. The home was magical and it provided all the necessities we needed plus more. Everything inside was clean and we felt more than comfortable staying here. Catherine was a lovely host, she gave us tips and local areas to explore and was very helpful during our visit. Communication was quick and nothing was left out. One of the best airbnb experiences I have had the pleasure of staying at, thank you!

“I can’t say enough good things.”
Oh what a night ! The pictures and description don’t do it justice. We have stayed in dozens of vacation rentals, as well as top notch hotels, such as the four seasons, and I would choose this suite over any of them. It was serene and perfect in so many ways. It felt like our own private oasis. A box of chocolates were left for us and the French press coffee in the morning was divine. It had a simple, elegant, spa-like feeling and was incredibly private. When we arrived, the soft background music set the tone immediately. After riding the provided bikes to a nearby winery we had a barbecue. Afterwards we sat outside and watched the river and rolling hills, followed by a beautiful sunset. Inside the suite the floor to ceiling windows and soft lighting created a soothing atmosphere. We slept with the window open all night and when we woke up we just didn’t want to leave the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. I can’t say enough good things. Thank you for giving us such a memorable stay. We will most certainly be back.

“This place is so peaceful and beautiful.”
This place is so peaceful and beautiful. The space looks like an interior design magazine, and everything is high end, luxurious and well curated. There are many items here that I haven't come across in my other Airbnb stays, quality mattress and linens, voluspa candles, sage essential oil diffusers, music playing when we entered. I usually bring an allersac travel sheet with me on trips, and this is the first place I've stayed where I didn't bother to use it. There were fresh cut flowers in the bathroom! I wish I could've stayed longer, and we will be back. It is truly special to watch the warm sunsets from the couch facing those floor to ceiling windows or the beautiful dining area outside. Host had eggs in the fridge so we would have breakfast, there was no end to the little touches Catherine put in thinking of us. She is well on her way to becoming a superhost! You won't regret staying here, it's very special. I was so thrilled to have the dogs come say hi in the morning! Very cosy and homey.

“ COULD NOT HAVE PICKED A BETTER FIT FOR AN ELOPEMENT!”
We eloped at Black Box Container Home and honestly could not have picked a more perfect fit for us! From the beginning, Cathi was so accommodating and made us feel special. She has an amazing attention to detail and is full of great ideas. She met with us a number of times before the elopement to help us plan and coordinate and was so gracious and kind every step of the way. On the day of the elopement, Cathi and Trevor hung up decorations, set our dinner table and ceremony site, made charcuterie and cooked pizza for ourselves and our guests in the outdoor fire oven. They also made us coffee the next morning. They definitely went above and beyond to make our day the most magical weekend possible, and we are so happy that they got to be a part of it. Truly you will feel like you have met your best friend, wedding planner and found your home away from home. I would not hesitate to recommend Black Box Container Home for an elopement or even a weekend getaway!
